Interesting point. Took me a while but I found scripture to back it up.
The devil used a fact in Gen 3:5 to reinforce the lie he introduced in verse 4. Eve fell for it.
In Matthew 4:6 the devil quoted a fact from Psalm 91 to make an illogical action seem logical.
However, this time Jesus countered with the truth from Deut 6.
Yup, the devil uses facts to support his lies. The only way to counter it, as Jesus has shown, is to arm ourselves with the truth.

Yeah yeah I know, I am delinquent in the blogs…still working on those paper mache eggs for the kids…it has given me a new found respect for God and creation.
If a crummy paper mache egg is so difficult, how much more difficult it was be to design and create the first egg 🙂

He’s the father of lies! There is no truth in him. Like a counterfeit, he’ll get as close as he can to the real thing with the intention of fooling you. Be on your guard. He roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
