I just had to share this with you. Here is a live feed of the International Space Station’s Earth Viewing Experiment. The Station orbits the planet at over 17,000 mph—or 5 miles per second!—and experiences a sunrise every 92 minutes. If you see grey, it means the cameras are toggling; and if you see black, then the Station is on the night side of the Earth. Use the ISS Tracker to determine the Station’s location and how long before it might return to the day side, which is always less than 46 minutes.
That is really amazing. Makes you feel smaller and God feel bigger at once.
I watch it and say, “God, it’s SO beautiful!”
Nuts, tuned in during the night. Guess I gotta wait … thankfully no more than 92 minutes! Thanks for the live feed!
Don’t miss it! And the sunsets as the station passes out of the Sun into darkness are absolutely mesmerizing.
A truly mesmerising view … but at the back of my mind I keep thinking “It costs 150 billion dollars, but the contract went to the lowest bidder…”
I wonder what goes into that 150? IMO, I think we could use most military and outer space expenditures to relieve poverty and quality of life issues. Per dollar those are the far weightier matters.
Just saw the sunset .. awestruck. It’s almost midnight here but I’m gonna stick around for the sunrise 🙂
I saw that, too! That’s the best one I’ve seen so far!
Saw the sunrise too 🙂
This is great!
Far out… 🙂
I have to pull myself away at times…so beautiful!
